BGIA Executive Committee Meeting
The BGIA Executive meeting held on 24th February at Federation House, saw the committee discuss a number of issue affecting member companies, including the various events/shows the BGIA will be involved in in 2010/2011.
These include the BGIA's presence at overseas trade shows (Golf Europe & PGA Merchandise Show) , the BGIA's support as a main partner alongside IFM/SMS and The Golf Foundation in the 2010 Open Championship Lunch at St Andrews, and finalising plans for the BGIA's own two day Dinner and Golf Day event in April which has become a much anticipated event in the UK golf industry calendar.
The Committee were met with Guest Speakers Charles Harrision, (Chairman) and Mike Round (Cheif Executive) of The Golf Foundation who provided a very interesting presentation on the great work and success stories the Golf Foundation have acheived through developing the game in schools and school clusters nationwide over the past 5 years.
Members will have an opportunity to hear from The Golf Foundation as they will be presenting at the BGIA Annual General Meeting at 5pm on Monday 12th April . Full information on the AGM will be sent out to members at the beginnning of March.
