Collective Representation & Lobbying

The BGIA represents its members as the unified voice of the industry on a variety of issues affecting member companies in the UK, EU and worldwide. The BGIA provides regular information on matters affecting the industry through its links with the R&A, PGA, EG, Sport England, UKGF and the APPG for Golf.

Promotion

All BGIA members can use the BGIA logo. BGIA membership signifies professional competence and performance, adding value and credibility to your business. Members also receive a monthly BGIA newsletter and enjoy promotion through the BGIA website.

Research Provision

The BGIA provides regular statistical information to all full members which is worth approximately £5,000. The dashboard research contains a market audit overview and rounds played (quarterly), golf player and product attitude and usage (annual) and club membership update (bi-annual) to assist in analysing market trends.

Export Opportunities

BGIA members have access to export grants of up to £2,500 through the Department for International Trade. Grants are available to eligible member companies who wish to exhibit at overseas events. With use of a UK Exhibitor Pavilion at overseas trade shows, BGIA members can also use a members-only business lounge at trade shows for client/colleague meetings.

Networking Events

BGIA members are invited to attend various BGIA events throughout the year including the AGM (free), the Annual Dinner (free for 1x person each member company), the BGIA Charity Golf Day at Woburn, The Open Championship Lunch (Free for 1x person at each member company) and various free FSPA Sports Industry Think Tank Dinners for member CEOs/MDs.

The BGIA provides members with a range of useful and informative free seminars throughout the year.

Access to BGIA Grow Golf Partnership

The Grow Golf Fund is a BGIA member-only initiative to stimulate golf participation across all age groups, regions and social backgrounds in the UK. Partners (those that contribute to the fund) are granted the use of the ‘Grow Golf’ logo indicating their commitment to giving back to the game.
